Meet the Teacher

Erin Meats is a married mother of four children. She moved to Ohio in 2010, from Quincy, Illinois where she taught using the Musikgarten curricula since 2005. Before becoming a certified Musikgarten teacher she spent over two years in the program as a parent, starting when her oldest daughter was just 6 months old. Erin is a licensed Musikgarten teacher.  

Erin earned a BS in Music/Business from Quincy University with a double concentration in vocals and french horn. Her music background includes an internship with the Quincy Symphony Orchestra Association, Quincy Park Band Member, Board Member and Treasurer for the Muddy River Opera Company, a french horn studio, youth choral conducting/choir director, Music Specialist for the Quincy Park District After School Program, and Music Specialist for Hilliard Recreation and Parks Summer Camp.  Currently, she is the Musikgarten teacher for The Barrington School in Dublin, Powell, Hilliard, Upper Arlington and Worthington, as well as The Hilliard Community Music School. She has also offered classes at the Hilliard Community Center in the past.
